Jimmie Draper passed away suddenly Monday, July 31st at Ukiah Valley Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jimmie was born in Texas to Virgil and Beatrice Draper in a small town in Texas on April 18, 1933. At the age of seven the family moved to Salinas, California, and then on to Oregon. At the age of 18 Jimmie moved to Fortuna, California. Jimmie met and married the love of his life Joan Wood in Fortuna. Jim and Joan were married for 56 years when Joan passed away in 2011, leaving Jim very broken hearted. Their love was a joy and inspiration to all that knew them.
