Margie was born on January 17, 1921 to Claude and Marion Mitchell in Ukiah, California. She graduated from Ukiah High in 1939. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Rucker and had two children: Ron Rucker and Cindy Lauenroth. She later married her second husband Robert B. Marjorie loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, swimming and especially gardening. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, taking her kids and grandkids camping, fishing and many other outdoor activities. She loved to square dance and was a long time member in the local square dance clubs.
She worked as a waitress at local restaurants for many years: Marion’s Coffee Shop, Model Bakery and John’s Lunch Box. She also worked in the Mendocino County Hospital kitchen.
Marjorie’s family always came first. Her kids and grandkids could always count on her as helper, teacher, babysitter or any kind of encouragement that was needed. She is loved and will be missed by all of us.
