As a resident of Ukiah, Ca. for the past 38 years, Janice made a deep spiritual and emotional impact on all that have had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved giving back to her community as an in-home health care worker, at project Sanctuary, at UVAH, volunteering at the Senior Center for their holiday meal services, and to anyone that came to her door in need.
Janice will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice, she loved singing and acting. Her passion for singing got her thru any ups and downs that came her way. She was a bright spirit for many people, and never passed judgement on anyone. She treated every person with respect.
Janice was a very spiritual person, she enjoyed connecting with people that loved astrology and God. Reading astrology charts was a great passion of hers.
More than anything Janice was the most proud of her children Kendall Travis, Chon (Sara) Travis, and Maurice Travis, and her grandchildren Shampaine, Halle, Lira, Kiana, Cheyanne, Jahlan, Nevaeh, Jada, Taj, Jasmyn, Da’sya, Araceli and Auxanna. She also loved her numerous great grandchildren.
Janice is also survived by her brother Otha (Uri) Rice, and her extended family Willie Williams, Shirlon Williams, Lin Williams, Dodie Robinson, Betty Cheeks, Troyel Tognoli, Kim Lee, Michael Lee, Johnny Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janice is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Latham, Stepfather Oscar Latham, her brothers Henry and Flip, her aunt Ora Lee and her cousin Jene Woods. We know Janice will be lifted to heaven by all her friends and family that are there welcoming her.
