Lester Tubbs passed away on March 17, 2014 in Ukiah California at the age of 84 with his daughter Judy, son Mike and daughter-in-law Joan by his side. He was born in Casa Grande Arizona on November 13, 1929 to Fred and Imo Tubbs. After the death of his father his family moved to Visalia California where he later met and married Helen Eudy. He served in the National Guard from 1948 to 1951. In 1964 Lester and Helen along with their children moved to Fort Bragg where Lester worked as a millwright for the local mill.

Lester was an avid gardener and loved working in his beautiful vegetable garden. After his retirement he and Helen moved to Ukiah to be in the warmer weather and to grow tomatoes for friends and family. He loved to sit in the evening and play his guitar and occasionally would sing a song or two. He was loved by all who knew him.

Lester was predeceased by his wife Helen, his grandson Greg Peeler, brothers Leonard and Fred, sisters Jane and Floy and by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Esther, sister Joy Graves, son Mike and wife Joan, son Curt and wife Grace, daughter Judy Valadao and husband Ron, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
