Obituary:
Lois Lenora Anderson, 97, was born January 4, 1919 in Visalia, California and died December 19, 2016 in Ukiah, California. She attended Pacific Union College, where she met her sweetheart, Arthur Eugene Anderson, whom she married in 1938. They celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary before Eugene passed away in 2015. In 1952 Lois, along with her family, sailed out under the Golden Gate on their way to Burma (Myanmar), where they were missionaries for 5 years. Later they went to Ceylon (Sri Lanka), and eventually Ethiopia. They also worked in Alberta, Canada, and in California. She is still known as Mom to many of the people she served in these countries, and has been in touch with them and their families all through the years. She has lived in Ukiah since 1992 where she enjoyed serving in the Seventh-day Adventist church in many capacities. She has also enjoyed her hobbies of photography, gardening, sewing, and reading. She is survived by her sons, David (Donna Faye), Daniel (Bonnie), both of Ukiah, Vernon (Lanette), of Fort Bragg, CA. and daughter-in-law, Mary Lane (David), of Forest Grove, OR., 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Her son Leslie died in mission service in Papua New Guinea in 2002. A memorial service will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist church at 3:30 PM, February 18, 2017. Interment was at Russian River Cemetery on December 27, 2016. Arrangements were under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
