Margaret was born in Grass Creek, Indiana on April 29, 1925 and has been a resident of Ukiah for the last 53 years. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in Political Science, Psychology and Public Administration in 1949. While a student, she met her future husband, Vincent H. Angell, who was a student at U.C.S.F. School of Pharmacy. They remained life-long Cal Bear fans!

Margaret will be remembered as a loving and proud Mother and Grandmother, her devotion to her faith, a strong commitment to education, family holiday dinners at her home, and a love of travel. She was a very active lifetime member and past president (1980-81) of the Ukiah branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), a substitute teacher for Pomolita Junior High and Ukiah High Schools, an avid pilot and volunteer for search and rescue operations, a long serving member of the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, a member of Plowshares, the Mendocino County Grand Jury, and the Ukiah Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church for 53 years and was a committed volunteer for the St. Marys Mardi Gras celebrations and at the Ukiah Public Library.
Alongside her husband, Vince, she supported the values and goals of Rotary, the University of California, San Francisco, School of Pharmacy, and the organizations in which her children were active: Ukiah Dolphins Swim Club, Campfire Girls, Boy Scouts of America, and the Ukiah High School Marching Band.
