Arthur Andrew Murguia was born on May 6th, 1970 in Berkeley, CA. Arthur unexpectedly passed away on July 2nd, 2024 in the comfort of his home in Kelseyville, CA. Arthur is preceded in death by his Father Paul Murguia Jr., Mother Shirley Ann Wilkinson, Sister’s Delores Murguia, Tina Murguia and brother Steven Murguia. He is survived by his Sister Deborah Murguia, Brother Paul Murguia III, Son Angel Murguia-Martinez, Nephew’s Jimmie and Nathaniel Thomas, Steven Serna, Chris Murguia, Niece’s Brittney Thomas, Felicia Murguia, Shirley Murguia, Malaya Murguia and Angelina Murguia. He also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews, Sienna, Estebon, Putaka, Alayiah, Dakota, Legacy, Ar’Rarri, Roosevelt Jr. (Gigi), India-Love, Emilio, Santana, Edward (Dru), Aaniyah and Mariah-Love.
Arthur grew up in Oakland but moved to Ukiah when he was a child, he ended up living in the Bay Area a few other times throughout his life but returned to Ukiah. He graduated from Ukiah High School in 1988. He played football in High School and was a huge Raider’s fan his whole life. He lived in Lake County for the last 6 years of his life. Arthur was hardworking, he dedicated himself to the jobs he had throughout his life. At his most recent jobs, He worked in the kitchen at Running Creek Casino and at Woody’s Café. He enjoyed cooking and being in the kitchen. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Arthur had over 5 years of sobriety, he was proud of himself, his family was also proud of him. Arthur was a loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Co-worker. He was always happy and had a smile on his face, no matter what was going on. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Wherever Arthur went, he made a friend. He truly enjoyed making people laugh and feel good about themselves, he never had anything bad to say about another person. After losing his sisters, Arthur helped raise his nieces and nephews, he was very much like a father figure to them. Arthur deeply cared about the people he loved, weather it was a family member or a friend. He was a joy to be around and will be deeply missed by everyone he knew. He left us too soon but now we must lay him to rest. A Viewing and Funeral Service will be on July 20th at Eversole Mortuary @12:00pm-4:00pm. There will be no Graveside Services. Arthur’s wish was to be cremated and his ashes used to plant a tree. This will take place at a later date with immediate family.
