Obituary:
Jerry Zane Asbury, born on April 2nd , 2006, was taken from us far too soon on February 8th, 2016. Jerry was a beautiful young man with a love for life. He loved his family endlessly and was an amazing son and big brother to his five younger siblings.
Jerry loved to scuba dive, ride quads and play many sports. He had an especially strong passion for Football and his team, the Ukiah Lions Mitey Mites. He was a very bright and intelligent young man, an avid reader who absolutely loved to learn. He attended 4th grade this year at Calpella Elementary School. Having a great sense of humor, Jerry loved to tell jokes and he brought such joy to all those around him.
In December of 2013, he was adopted, along with 4 of his other brothers (then later his baby sister), all of whom took on his Mothers last name, Asbury. Jerry picked out his own middle name, Zane, after his favorite Ninja character.
Surviving loved ones: Mothers Susan Asbury and Nina Asbury. Brothers: Gabriel William Asbury (9), Casey Lloyd Asbury (7), Lucas Skyler Asbury (6), Mack Jackson Asbury (4) and Sister Dezi Sharon Asbury (2). Grandmother Sharon Asbury, Aunt Sheryl Asbury, The Sabido Family, The Christopher Family, The Saengarun Family and many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and TREASURED FRIENDS! His passing was preceded by his Grandfather William Asbury, his Uncle Marnel Christopher and beloved family dog, Charlie.
He was such an amazing, wonderful and fun young man and to honor the beauty of his life, a Life Celebration will be held in lieu of a Memorial Service. This beautiful Life Celebration will be held at Todd Grove Park, 600 Live Oak Drive, Ukiah CA 95482, on Saturday, February 20th, 2016, starting at 11:00am. The Celebration proceedings will be focused toward the children attending. We are requesting for all those attending to please bring an item to be included in the potluck luncheon. We are also asking that you please bring printed copies of any and all pictures you may have of our sweet Jerry, to share and display.
His family is so very thankful for all the support and for the overwhelming outpouring of love they have received during this difficult time.
