Obituary:
Beatriz Freda Barra
The Heavens welcomed Beatriz Freda Barra on March 25, 2012 where she was reunited with her beloved son, Dino Charles Barra.
Bea was born on October 18, 1930 to Dutch parents in Tampico, Mexico. She enjoyed a fulfilling life in Redwood Valley with her husband of 57 years, Pete Barra.
She is survived by her husband Pete, sister Linda Piffero, Redwood Valley, brother Roberto Prinselaar, St. George, UT, daughters Lori Barra, Truckee, CA., Cyndi Woskow (Michael Woskow), Redwood Valley, and Christina White (Matt White) Kerman, CA.
Bea adored her grandchildren; Peter and Caroline Nicholas, Jesse Woskow, Levi and Cody White. She was their biggest fan, always traveling far to attend birthday parties, sporting events and school activities with great enthusiasm. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the world, but the trips she cherished most were those which led her to her grandkids.
A selfless woman, Bea was a loyal and supportive wife, the best mother in the world, and an awesome Grammy/Nana. She was an amazing woman, full of love, with a strong will and faith. Although she faced multiple health challenges, she never complained and was an inspiration to many.
Services for Bea will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:00am at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah.
Floral arrangements may be made through Rain Forest Fantasy or donations may be made in Bea’s honor to the American Cancer Society, Redwood Valley Community Church Building Fund (P.O. Box 183, Redwood Valley, CA 95470), Kerman Christian School (15495 W. Whitesbridge Rd, Kerman, CA 93630).
