Stella Ilene Barra

Funeral services for Stella Irene Barra will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Visitation will be on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Stella passed away at her home in Redwood Valley on Thursday, July 12, 2012 with her family by her side.
Born January 19, 1928 in Calpella, Stella was a lifelong resident of Ukiah and Redwood Valley. From her very early years until her passing, Stella was always involved with grapes. She was very active in Sons of Italy for 47 years serving as President from 1993 to 1996.
Stella is survived by her daughter Antoinette Marie Barra of Redwood Valley, grandson Christopher Michael Abshire of Redwood Valley, sister Doreen Venturi and husband Larry of Ukiah, nieces Deana Marie Venturi, Celestina Ilene Venturi, brother-in-law Pete Barra, nieces Lori Jean Barra, Cyndi Lynn Woskow and Christina Marie White.
Memorial contributions to Sons of Italy P.O. Box 1070 Ukiah, CA 95482 or Phoenix Hospice 100 San Hedrin Circle Willits, Ca 95490 are preferred by the family.
