Obituary:
Esther P. Bean

Passed away Wednesday October 3, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Estherlina Pasqulina was born to Ferdinando & Ancilla Curti Scaramella on Easter Sunday, March 27, 1932 in Fort Bragg, Ca. She lived her entire life in Manchester, Ca.
She was the sister of Norma Combes of Fort Bragg, Elmer (Aggie) who preceded her in death, Raymond (Sadie) of Manchester, Lynda Opperman-Curtis (Howard) of The Sea Ranch, and sister-in-law Diann Bean Smallwood of Sheriden, Oregon. She was the niece of Rena Scaramella and Romeo Giacomini, first cousins to Lester, Gloria, Clarence, Judith (her best friend whom her children nicknamed Huntley & Brinkley) & Rose Giacomini.
Esther attended Manchester grade school and Point Arena High School where she met the "love of her life" Ralph Bean.
Esther and Ralph were married for 62 years. They worked in the logging and Ranching industries while raising their family of five, Mark (Michelle) Bean of McArthur, Jennifer (Ron) Pronsolino of Yorkville, Lori (Harold) Radtkey of Annapolis, Leonard Bean of Penngrove, and Stuart Bean of Manchester.
Esther was active in the Mothers Club baking dozens of cupcakes (sometimes forgetting them on the roof of the car, but they always seemed to make it to school!!). She was a member of the Catholic Ladies and the Garcia Grange. She also worked at the Point Arena Dental Office with her good friend Christine Galletti.
She loved the outdoors, hunting and camping at the Piper Ranch with her dear friend Jean Piper and sister Norma. Esther loved a good martini or a shot of whiskey, digging for old bottles with her sisters and friend Lill Titus. She was a strong, independent and colorful woman.
Besides her husband and children she also leaves 13 grandchildren. Jason and Shannon Bean, Kris and Vanessa Pronsolino, Levi and Lacie Roach and Ky Bean Laiwa, Melissa, Matthew, Jessica, Russell and Andrew Bean, and step grandson Gene Henderson. 13 great grandchildren, Taylor and Brandy Bean, Robert Bean, Gus and Jack Spacek, Teal and Sophia Roach, Kalo and Joey Doughty, and step grandchildren Skyla, Joe, Asa and Cheyenne Henderson. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Esther loved and stuck by her family through thick and thin. Her family was her life. She is and will be forever in our thoughts and hearts. We love you Mom.
A celebration of Esther's life will be held at the Manchester Grange on October 20, 2012 at 12:00.
