Obituary:
Arthur Neil Beasley, 81, of Ukiah passed away at his home on Friday, May 28, 2010 with his children present. Neil was born March 27, 1929 in Hopland, Ca., he had lived in Ukiah for the past 41 years.
Neil graduated from Ukiah High School class of 1946. He was in the National Guard from 1949 – 1951. Neil was the Vice President of Bezchfire Chemical Co. Ukiah, Ca. from 1969 – 1992.
Neil had a green thumb with the ability to grow anything beautifully. He had a love and respect for the outdoors and a fondness for hunting and fishing. His favorite quote was “Fire in the hole”. Neil was a member of the Ukiah Cannibal Club, former Little League coach and volunteer BBQ Chef.
Neil is survived by his daughters Barbara Sugar of California, Martha Simons of Ukiah, Ca., Kathleen Van Osten of Mesa, Az., Margaret Beasley of Ukiah, Ca., son Gordon Beasley of Yuba City, Ca., sister Doreen Tatman of Sebastopol, Ca., grandchildren Stuart Hoiem of Hillsboro, Or., Jonathan Montgomery of Ukiah, Shawn Hoiem of Oakley, Ca., Vanessa Beasley of Madrid, Spain, Cassandra Beasley of Strasborg, France. 5 great grandchildren. Neil was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Patricia (Gere) Beasley in 2001 and by his sister Evelyn Carpenter in 2001.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Eversole Mortuary.
