Funeral services for Louis Edward Benback of Redwood Valley will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary.

Born August 3, 1934 in Goff, Kansas, Louis passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Redwood Valley with his family by his side. Louis graduated from Ukiah High School in 1952. He was a journeyman carpenter straight out of high school until his retirement in 1992. Louis enjoyed designing and building houses, gardening and fishing. He will be remembered for his hard work, sense of humor, teaching others to work with their hands building things. He was proud of being a finish carpenter. He was father of the year.

Louis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie C. Benback of Redwood Valley, daughter Deborah Ann Gregg and husband John, sons John Louis Benback, Michelle Corpuz-Benback, James Francis Benback and wife Naomi, sister Lois Sullenger of Lakeport, grandchildren Adam, Angie, Richard, Elizabeth, John Jr., Kevin and Julie and 10 great grandchildren.
