Obituary:
Harriet Emma Berger Tjepkes, 87 passed away at Ukiah Health Care Center on July 3, 2013 after an extended illness. She was predeceased Dec, 2012 by Robert Tjepkes, her beloved husband of 66 yrs., and her older sister Edith Maxwell, June 2013.
Harriet was born in Santa Rosa. She was 1 of 5 siblings of Natalie Bruning and Henry Berger, second generation families to live on Sonoma Mtn. she leaves her sister Mariam Catlin of Paradise, Ca. and brothers George and Fred Berger and their wives and many nieces and nephews.
Bob and Harriet spent the past 30 years in Willits where they built a home and were extremely active in the community. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as a sensitive, gentle and caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. She had a great love of nature, her animals and had an abiding faith.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
