Beverly Stafford

Beverly Gertrude Stafford went to be with the Lord on December 05, 2024. She left us peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. She is predeceased by her brother John Smith and husband Raymond Daniel Stafford. Beverly is survived by sons Raymond Michael Stafford and John David Stafford, daughter Ramona Dawn Stafford-Falgout, and an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all love her very much.

She was born in Nashua, Iowa, on April 27, 1931, to John and Helen Marie Smith. Her father passed away when she was seven years old, leaving her mom to raise her and her younger brother on her own. Her mom eventually moved them to San Bernardino, where Beverly met the love of her life, Raymond, who she married on December 19, 1948. Shortly after, she graduated from San Bernardino High School, and a couple years later, she and Raymond started their family. They moved to Wall Avenue in 1955, where they formed a strong community of friends who ultimately became family.

While raising their young family, Beverly quickly became known in her community for her nurturing and loving nature, as well as her delicious English toffee, popcorn balls at Halloween, and persimmon cookies in the wintertime. Beverly loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. She was a lifelong gardener; she loved to crochet and always looked forward to her sewing circle and Bible study group. She was a dedicated member of Redwood Valley Community Church and had a heart of service, always seeking to help others. She will forever be remembered for her selflessness, warmth, and gentleness and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The memorial will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Redwood Valley Community Church, and all who knew and loved Beverly are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice of Ukiah.
