Obituary:
Byron Carroll Bishop

At his request no services are to be held for Byron Carroll Bishop of Ukiah who passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Born February 23, 1923 in Point Arena, he lived most of his life in Mendocino County, aside from 8 years in Lake County. He graduated from Ukiah High School in 1942 and retired from Pargas in 1987. He was proud of serving his country in WWII serving in India, Berma and China and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of family, his great sense of humor and his 67 year marriage to the love of his life Eulene. Byron wanted his family and friends to rejoice in the good times and not dwell on his passing! He will be missed by all who knew and loved him!!!
Byron is survived by his wife, O. Eulene Bishop (Vinson) of Ukiah, daughter Bonnie (Bishop) Austin (Ed) of Lakeport, son Brent Joseph Bishop of Ukiah, daughter in law Carol Bishop, brothers Hal Bishop of Port Angeles, Washington, Joseph Bishop of Ukiah, grandchildren Darin Austin of Lakeport, Dena (Austin) Kivirahk of Plano, TX, Brandon Bishop of Redding, CA, Amanda (Austin) Waite of Deltona, FL, Byron Bishop of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Bishop of Honolulu, HI, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Victor Bishop of Petaluma.
Memorial donations to Ukiah Hospice and the Ukiah Senior Center are preferred.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
