Hazel Pauline Blankenship

Memorial services for Hazel Pauline Blankenship of Ukiah will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary, Willie Roberts officiating. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Hazel passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Ukiah Valley Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 88.
Born February 4, 1923 in Warner, Oklahoma, Hazel was a homemaker and a waitress. She has lived in the Ukiah area for the past 62 years. Hazel loved her family and enjoyed having friends and family for large fun times together. Gardening was a passion. She enjoyed entering jams, jellies, canned items into the Redwood Empire Fair and has many 1st Place ribbons as mementos of her.
Hazel is survived by her daughter Jaunita Coddington and husband Tom of Lakeport, son Sam Williams and wife Vickie of Chillicothie, Ohio, brother Donald L. Hays and wife Lucille of Cottonwood, grandchildren Scott Creekmore of Atlanta, GA, Gary Creekmore of Ukiah, Jennifer Creekmore-Juenke of Redwood Valley, Dorothy Johntony, Paul Hold, Sherrie Wieder and Susan Wieder all of Girard, Ohio and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years, Roy H. Williams in 1985, husband Roy E. Blankenship in 2010, by her parents W.K. Hays and Bonnie Humphrey, brothers W.K. “Bill” Hays, Joseph R. Hays, Eugene Hays, Melvin L. Hays, sisters Edna Kerwood and Alice Lorene Hayden.
