Obituary:
Nadine Emily Boer ( Regusci) was born on Oct 3rd 1958 in Modesto Ca, to Emilio and Elvezia Regusci. She left us much too soon on February 5.
Nadine met Michael Boer during their junior year at UCDavis. They quickly fell in love, and were soon married in 1987, and lived a very happy 34 years together in their home on Stipp Ln. They welcomed Michael E. in 1989 and Audie in 1994.
Nadines greatest love was children, and everything that she did was connected to not only her children but everyones children. She worked with the childrens library, and at the Waldorf school while Michael and Audie attended. Through the Waldorf school, she also spent a lot of time chaperoning field trips and helping in the office. In 1995, Nadine opened Pirate Petes pumpkin patch that hosted approx 4000 school kids in the month of October each year.
Nadine loved collecting books, specifically children books followed closely by cook books. Her favorite book was The Wizard of Oz. She enjoyed the opportunity to work at Mendocino Book Store, helping anyone who walked in the door to find their specific book or search for a new favorite.
She loved to cook, and she loved to use her copper cookware. One of her most favorite activities was to cater with Beth Keiffer on the weekends, and special events throughout Mendocino.
Nadine also loved horses. She received her first horse, Drina, from a close family member and that quickly grew into a love for riding.
Nadine and Tascha Whetzel reinstated the Ukiah Shamrock 4H Club and were co-community leaders for over 5 years. She led several club projects, but her most favorite was the Knit Wits, a small group of kids brought together to watch movies and knit fun projects. Nadine did all the fair awards for the youth showmen of the Redwood Empire Fair for a number of years . She also sat on the scholarship committee for the Mendocino County Farm Bureau. She also started the Wreaths Across America program in Mendocino county, and coordinated the processes of decorating veterans with wreaths for 5 years.
Nadine is survived by her husband Michael, sons Michael E. (Devon) and Audie. Her brother John (Carol) Regusci, their son Johnny (Natalie), and daughters Elise, and Elisabeth. Her in-laws Adrian and Susan Boer, Jessie Taaning-Sanchez, Cassie Tanning-Trotter and Michael Tanning
