Esther Briseno
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held for Esther Briseno on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Ukiah Cemetery. Recitation on the Rosary will be on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary with visitation beginning at noon on Sunday. Esther passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home with her family by her side.
Born April 1, 1929 in Los Angeles, she was raised in Guadalajara, Mexico until she married in 1950 and came to the U.S. to start her family. Esther always enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and enjoyed spending time in her yard planting flowers and doing yard work. She was proud of being a wonderful housewife and raising her children and grandchildren.
Ma Esther (as family and friends knew her) was loved dearly by all. She touched the lives and hearts of so many with her sweet, kind, loving gestures and her style. Ma Esther enjoyed attending family and social events but most of all spending time with her family.
Esther is survived by her daughter Carolina Briseno of Ukiah, sons Rafael Briseno and wife Maria Briseno of Redwood Valley, Jose Luis Briseno of Ukiah, grandchildren Esther, Rafael, Jose Efren and Monica Garcia of Ukiah, Alfredo Garcia of Guadalajara, Jal, Joey, Jason, Jaime Briseno of Ukiah, Rachel Barber of Ukiah, Robert Briseno, Michael and wife Sylvia Briseno of Redwood Valley, Leticia and husband Jaime Mata of Ukiah, Ricky and wife Angelina Nunez of Redwood Valley, Naomi and husband Senen Macandog of Las Vegas, NV, 40 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose I Briseno and daughter Maria Estela Briseno.
