Louanna “Louie” Stewart Buell
Louanna passed away peacefully at the age of 66 in her home, next to her beloved dog Maxie, in Cornville, Arizona on August 26th, 2015.
Louanna was the born in Lakeview, Oregon. The second of three daughters of James “Pete” Stewart and D.A. Stewart, Louanna spent her childhood and high school days growing up in Ukiah, California and considered it her hometown.
Louanna lived in many places in northern and southern California and following the death of her husband Charlie she moved to Arizona and went to school earning her registered nursing degree. Along the way Louanna’s family grew, and she met many friends who became family to her.
Louanna was predeceased by her parents, “Pete” and “D.A.”, her sisters, Becky Jondahl and Nan Flaherty, her son, Jimmy Gravel, and her loving husband Charlie Buell.
Louanna is survived by her sons, B.J. Messimer Jr. and Jon Messimer, her nieces, and Terri Jondahl, Tammi Weselsky, and Heather Santos, her nephews, Tommy Jondahl and Justin Trapin, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, second and third cousins.
A celebration of Louanna’s life will be held on September 27th 2015 at 1:00pm at 724 Grove Ave. in Ukiah. Feel free to come and share stories,bring a dish of your choice if you'd like.
