Obituary:
James Cagle passed away at his home on Saturday, December 12, 2011 with his loved ones in attendance. James was born in Riesel, Texas on November 2, 1917. He was a resident of Ukiah for the past 56 years. At James request no services will be held, private entombment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens will take place.
James owned and operated a wholesale lumber business for many years. In 1945, James married his loving wife Dorothy and never missed a day of saying to her I love you. James most important accomplishments were his wife and his family.
James was a charter member of the Cannibal Club and a Mason for over 56 years. He was a WWII veteran.
James will be remembered for his gentle hand and kind generosity. He always had a kind word for everyone no matter their station in life. Along with his playful attitude and wonderful sense of humor, he was a hard working man. His favorite quote was If you dont have anything good to say about someone, dont say anything at all. James was of Christian Faith.
James is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Cagle, daughter Annette Groenendaal, son Mark Cagle, sister Ruby Whitehouse, granddaughters Jessica and Sydney Groenendaal, great-grandson Matteo and numerous nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Gwen Cagle, brothers Hildred and Will Ed, sisters Vida Bowden, Bessie Denton, Betty Jo Hobbs and Martha Gwen Bonner.
