Obituary:
Frank Reed Carpenter passed away July 15, 2011 in Ukiah, Ca. He was born May 2, 1913 in Covina, Ca.
Frank married Mary Stockham in May of 1932 and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage before she passed away in 2001.
Frank worked for many years in the construction trade before he became the building inspector for the City of Ukiah from 1957-1977.
Frank and Mary arrived in Calpella in 1949 and during that time made many longtime friends in the community. Both Mary and Frank became very active in the community serving on many boards.
Frank is survived by his sons Duane Carpenter and his wife Nona, Butch (Dallas) Carpenter and his wife Tori. In addition to his sons and their spouses Frank is survived by his grandchildren Deelynn Carpenter, Joan Maahs, Darrell Carpenter, Sally Provencher, Mark Carpenter, Kathryn Carpenter-Fortin, Jimmy Hines, Chrystal Hines and Colton Hines. 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Services will be held Friday, July 22, 2011, at 10:00 AM at the Chapel at the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah. A potluck reception will follow at 9400 West Rd. Redwood Valley, Ca, In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ukiah Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
