Benito Chavez

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held for Benito Chavez of Ukiah on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 12 noon at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary.
Born April 15, 1946 in Mexico, Benito passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 surrounded by his family. He has resided in the Ukiah area for the past 25 years. Benito was proud of being a great friend to everyone he came across. He will be remembered for his joy of life, sense of humor and his love for fishing.
He is survived by his wife Arcelia Chavez, daughters Lucia Magallon and husband Juan, Sandra Chavez, son Luis Enrique Chavez and wife Beatriz, sisters Carmen, Blanca, Maria de Los Angeles, brothers Abel, Isidro, Ramon, Jose Angel, Silvestre, Enrique, Gonzalo and grandchildren Yvett, Oscar, Juan and Julian Magallon, Lizette and Naizeth Chavez.
