It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Cooper Jason Stoughton on November 18, 2023. Cooper was born on December 26, 2009 to parents Kevin and Nichole and he was their true miracle baby. He was a vibrant and adventurous young soul with a promising journey ahead and he has left an indelible mark in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Cooper was a bright spark in this world and was destined for great things had his time on this earth not been cut so tragically short. He loved being outdoors and fishing with his dad Kevin and brother Alex. He also enjoyed sports and played soccer, basketball, football and excelled at Esports.
He aspired to debate and lead others as he participated in his school’s mock trial and was student body president. He was highly intelligent, funny, extremely loving and left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Nichole, brother, Alex, grandparents, Karin Stoughton, Roger and Sandy Valinoti, and John and Suzanne Thurston, aunts and uncles Mark and Michelle Amasaki, David and Diane Ryan and Maria Valinoti as well as his cousins Austin Ryan, Matthew and May Amasaki, Shaylene Wyatt and Nathan Pufall and uncle Wesley Thurston. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Noel Stoughton.
A memorial service to celebrate Cooper’s life will be held on December 5, 2023 at 1:00pm at Eversole Mortuary with a reception following at The Potter Valley Rodeo Grounds.
The family invites friends and family to join them in remembering a young man whose warm heart touched the lives of so many people. Cooper will forever be cherished for his infectious laughter and the joy he brought to those around him. May he find eternal peace and may his spirit continue to inspire others to embrace the beauty of life.
