Obituary:
Florence Marie Davey was received into her heavenly home on April 10, 2018. “Flo” was born on November 12, 1929 to Alex and Molly Benner in Montana. Having lived most of her life in Ukiah, she not only raised her children here but had many long-time friends in the community.
She attended the Ukiah Assembly of God church for 25+ years.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her children will remember her most for sharing her faith in Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Davey, parents Alex and Molly Benner and sister Vonna Hansen.
One of the accomplishments she was most proud of is raising her 7 beautiful children. She is survived by daughters Kathy (Tim) Bechtol, Charla (Glenn) Edwards, sons Marc (Kandy) Hill, Charles (Denise) Sams, Richard (Tammy) Sams. Step daughters Linda Lipps and Debbie Isaac. Grandchildren Brian Bechtol, Brady Bechtol, Julie Behan, Jennifer Hill, Allie Sams, Will Sams, Katie Hiatt, Amy Inman, Molly Moreno, Lisa Klinkhammer, Rick Lewis, Katie Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Micah Edwards and Esther Hansen. Flo was privileged to have 20 great grandchildren as well.
Flo will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her beauty and her macaroni and potato salad.
The family of Flo would like to thank Ukiah Post Acute for the excellent care and love shown to mom for the past 5 years. Staff at Post Acute called her grandma and would visit her regularly.
Thank you Phoenix Hospice for providing wonderful end of life care to mom and her family. Your quick response and compassion were greatly appreciated.
