Harry F. Davey
Harry passed away peacefully at the age of 87 at the Courtyard Health Care Center in Davis, Ca. on June 1, 2013.
Born on July 18, 1925 in Belvidere, Illinois. Harry served in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946 on the minesweeper U.S.S. Scurry.
After the Navy he moved to Chico, Ca. and started Chico Masonry in the 1950’s and eventually moving his family and business to Ukiah in 1965. Harry was a wonderful business man, loving and supportive father and grandfather.
Harry is survived by his wife of 37 years Flo Davey of Ukiah, daughters Kathy Criel and husband Tom, Carolee Gearhart and husband Steve, son Mark Davey and wife Tammy, 7 step children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harry will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was a soft spoken, kind and gentle man.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Hospice Care in your area.
