David Morris Anderson

David Morris Anderson was born on Friday, June 16, 1939 to Fred and Annie Anderson in Ukiah, CA.  He lived on Bush Street while growing up and graduated from Ukiah High School in 1957 and Mendocino College in 1974.                                                 

He joined the US Navy and served six years.  He was honorably discharged in 1963.

He passed away at home on February 1, 2024.

He is survived by Verle Anderson his wife of 50 years, his nephew Tom Peters, his niece Dale Belyea, and his grandniece Holly Hautala.   He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Annie and his sisters Barbara Fee and Eileen Peters.

David worked at Masonite for many years and was also self-employed as a landscaper.  He enjoyed historical research, metal detecting, civic affairs, and supporting his wife’s Native American History Project.  Private graveside services were held.
