Joan Ann DeBernardi

A Memorial Mass will be said for Joan Ann DeBernardi on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. A Rosary will be said preceding the Mass at 12 noon at St. Mary’s. Joan passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at California Pacific Medical Center with her family by her side.
Born July 7, 1938 in Ukiah, Joan graduated from Ukiah High and was retired from Pacific Bell. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and Friends of Bill W. She won awards for Best in Show in crocheting at the Ukiah and Boonville Fairs. She enjoyed knitting, playing piano and will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren, her dog Sassy and cat Lily.
Joan is survived by her son Donald Wright of Ukiah, sister Lori Clark of San Jose, grandchildren Jonathan Wright stationed in Okinawa, Japan (Marines) and Christopher Wright of Ukiah, nieces Kim DeBernardi of Rohnert Park and Ali DeBernardi-Love of Ukiah. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose DeBernardi and by her brother Peter DeBernardi.
