Marvin (Bud) VanEtten Dooley a native and lifelong resident of Hopland was born December 8, 1924, he passed away at his home on July 16, 2012, with his family at his side, he was 87. Bud was a World War ll Veteran. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for the county of Mendocino after 30 years of service.
Bud will be laid to rest with his late wife Doris at Hopland Cemetery. Bud is survived by his children Kim Dooley of Oregon, Dean and Joan Rose of Boonville, Jimmy and Nancy Rose of Hopland, Janna and Mike Boomer of Willits, JoAnna and Eugene Compton of Florida, Marsha Robberson of Hopland and Marty and Kathi Gower of Hopland, sister Ada
V. Bettcher of Ukiah, nephew Dale Bettcher of Rohnert Park numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Bud was predeceased by his son
Warren Dooley.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary. There will be a potluck to follow from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the family home in Hopland. Bring your favorite dish and share memories of Bud and Doris.
