Edward Augustino Graziano

Calpellas finest, Edward Augustino Graziano sadly passed away in his home after battling cancer on May 23rd 2024, at the age of 83. Eddie (Edward) was born and raised in Calpella, by his parents Clara and Edward (Hugo) Graziano. Dating back to 1912, when his grandparents Vincenzo and Angelina moved from Genoa, Italy. Eddie became part of a legacy that would live on for over 100 + years. Becoming a third generation farmer whose family started planting grapes in 1917, and purchasing over 100 acres in Calpella, Eddie grew up learning how to farm from his grandfather Vincenzo and his father Edward (Hugo). Eddie continued to follow in his family's footsteps by running the 11 acres of Carignane and Moscato along with Zinfandel and Charbono. He graduated in 1959 from Ukiah High where he was an all star baseball, basketball and golden gloves athlete. Along with his passion for sports and farming he had a passion for race cars. Spending his weekends at Lakeport Speedway, he would race in the modified class. He then met the love of his life Francis Lynn Gifford in 1962, and married in 1964. Eddie was survived by his 3 children, Erick, Roxane and Joellie who blessed him with 8 grandchildren, Ericka, Chase, Lauren, Courtney, Kellie, Beau, Bella and Cash. Edward was loved by many, and despite his stubborn old Italian ways he had a heart of gold. No matter what the situation was, he could always make you laugh. We will surely miss him and the huge part he played to our entire family.

A service will be held Friday, May 31st at Eversole Mortuary starting at 11:00 am. All family and friends are welcome.
