Obituary:
Eveylin Bernice Emery passed away on May 4, 2015, following a brief illness. She had recently celebrated her 92nd birthday with family and friends. Eveylin was born in Lakeport and raised in Sebastopol, but Ukiah was the city she loved. She had been a resident for over 63 years. She was preceded in death by her son Rick. Eveylin is survived by her two sons, Bud and Scott; granddaughter, grandson, six great grandchildren; sister, Betty Braga, and many nieces and nephews.
Eveylin worked as an operator for the phone company for 29 years, and after retiring enjoyed going out to dine and shop with friends, decorating her home, line dancing at the Senior Center, and country music. She was known for her colorful style and fashions, sense of humor, and perhaps most of all, her love, and extensive collection of parrot décor. The family would like to express a special thank you to her dear friend, Marsha Sisneros. Eveylin will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be no service per her request. Donations in her memory may be given to Ukiah Senior Center or Anderson Valley Animal Rescue.
