Obituary:
Carl Angelo Facciano went to be with his Lord on April 7, 2011 at age 91. He will join Betty, his wife of close to 68 years who passed away a year ago in March. Carl was born to Cipriano Angelo and Maria Rose in Oroville, California and had one sister, Gena. Carl joined the Navy in the 40’s and was stationed at North Island in San Diego where he met the love of his life, Betty, a small town girl from Iowa. After the war was over, they returned to Oroville and raised a family. He began working for PG& E in Oroville, later transferring to Santa Rosa, then on to Ukiah where he worked until he retired. He loved the outdoors, boating and camping and shared that love with his family. He was very handy and we always said, “Dad will fix it, he can do anything!”
He and Betty were devoted to their Lord and loved their ministry of traveling with Mobile Missionary Assistance Program, where they helped build church camps, church buildings and general repair. They met many wonderful friends and had many fun memories .
Carl is survived by his son, Ed and wife Ann of Santa Rosa, CA, daughter Carolynn Macomber and husband Dennis of Canby, OR, son James and wife Janet of Bellingham, WA ; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way! He loved being grandpa!
At his request there will not be a service. Remembrances and donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph Memorial Hospice to help them carry on their wonderful work in supporting patients and their families through difficult times. 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA. 95401.
