Odile Marie Fiedler, nee Fourroux, 91 of Ukiah passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Ukiah Health Care with her family present.
Odile was born September 28, 1918 in Gramercy, LA. She lived in Ukiah for the past 58 years.
On February 8, 1948, Odile was married to Gilbert Fiedler. During Odile’s working years, she was a homemaker and a child day care provider. Odile will be remembered for her kindness she showed to others, her generosity, humor, hard work and she was a great cook. She was famous for her gumbo and loved to feed people. Odile was involved with the Grange, Senior Citizens Center, Garden Club and the Emblem Club. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.
Odile is survived by her daughter Patricia Fiedler Hahn, son William Carl Fiedler, brother Sylvester Fourroux, grandchildren Erik Fiedler, Michael Fiedler, Andrew Fiedler and great grandchildren Brant Fiedler and Payton Fiedler. Odile was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Fiedler.
The family prefers memorial donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Odile’s name.
A memorial service will be held in September at the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church date and time will follow.
