Obituary:
Memorial services for James Arthur Fisher of Ukiah will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ukiah Senior Center. James passed away at his home on October 11, 2016 with his family by his side. Born November 8, 1925 in Redfork, Oklahoma, James graduated high school and served his country in the US Air Force. He has resided in the area for the past 70 years in Covelo and Ukiah. He worked as a rancher and was also in real estate and insurance. He served as Constable of the Round Valley Justice Court, was President of the Covelo Riding Club and helped establish the Chamber of Commerce and served as Chair of the Rec Center. He was extremely proud of his wife Lillian and his children. He will remembered for his kindness, being a good husband, father and a good Samaritan. His favorite quotes “You don’t get something for nothing.” And “The best sermons are lived not preached.”
James is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lillian Fisher and daughters Amelia Fisher Rodriguez and Anita Fisher Young.
