Obituary:
Jack D. Flynn passed away on April 16, 2011 at home after a brief illness. He was 85 years old. Jack was born in Georgetown, Ca, and grew up in the Auburn area.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a paratrooper. He moved the family to Ukiah in 1962. Jack spent most of his life in the grocery store business until he retired. He recently retired from the Ombudsman as a volunteer for seniors after 19 years serving the community. He enjoyed camping at Eagle Lake and the Oregon area.
Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes Irene Flynn; his children Michael (Lyn) Flynn, Brian Flynn, Kathy (Clark) Winn; his two grandchildren Erin Winn and Patrick Flynn; his sister Jean Pfeil of Santa Barbara and numerous nieces and their families.
At Jack’s request, there will be no services. Jack will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Grass Valley, Ca.
Memorial donations in his memory can be made to Senior Ombudsman or Hospice of 620 So. Dora St. Ukiah.
