Lorraine Virginia Fowler

Memorial services for Lorraine Virginia Fowler of Nice will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary with Andy Mattern officiating. Inurnment will be in Ukiah Cemetery. Lorraine passed away in Nice on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the age of 82 with her family by her side.
Born August 20, 1929 in Newcastle, California, Lorraine resided in Ukiah for 49 years before moving to Nice in 2010. Lorraine was a homemaker who was most proud of her family. She enjoyed gardening, camping and entertaining. She will be remembered for being a wonderful mom, grandmother and great grandmother. Her favorite quote, “I am a tough old Portuguee.”
Lorraine is survived by her daughters Charlotte Hatcher and husband Charlie of Redwood Valley, Mary Dodd of Lucerne, sons Bill Pomeroy and wife Chris of Manteca, Gerry Painter of Redwood Valley, Joe Fowler of Ukiah, identical twin sister Mary E. Cranfill of Sacramento, grandchildren Michelle Berndt of Norman, OK, Julie Hatcher of Norman, OK, Jeni and Jason Bush of Redwood Valley, Jack Hatcher of Blaine, WA, Patrick Hatcher of Knoxville, IL, Kim Dunn of Phoenix, AZ, Dawn Lowrence of Skipwith, VA, Andy Dodd of Ukiah, Katie Dodd of Santa Rosa, Keli Painter of Ukiah, Kenny Painter of Portland, OR, Joey Fowler of Ukiah, Kelsi Fowler Ukiah, Jacob Fowler of Ukiah, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harrison J. Fowler, brother Joseph Veiga and parents Joaquin Veiga and Anna Concocion Veiga.
The family would like to give an enormous thank you to Cheryl Gambonini, her family and staff for their loving care and wonderful support. Also a special thank you to Dr. Stanley and Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Foundation and Hospice of Lake County.
