Jay Franks

Funeral services for Jay Franks of Ukiah will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 10 am at Eversole Mortuary. Burial will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm. Jay passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 in San Pablo.
Born September 24, 1956 in Ukiah, Jay graduated from Ukiah High School. He worked on and supervised crews to maintain auto rest stops on Highway 101. Jay was a member of the Calvary Way Church and former member of Ukiah Elks. He will be remembered for his love of nature, a true gentleman who loved his family and friends, never hesitating when asked to help by another. He will be missed by all who knew him. Anyone who knew Jay, knew what an honest, loving person he was. A gentle spirit who was always ready and willing to help other people.
Jay is survived by his brothers Jack Franks of Newport Beach and Jim Franks of Potter Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Mary.
