Melvin Eugene Freitas
Graveside services will be held for Melvin Eugene Freitas on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ukiah Cemetery. Melvin passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
Born October 13, 1930 in Ukiah, Melvin served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a welder for Masonite and McGehee Machinery and Welding. He loved to go out to the lake and feed the ducks and sit out in his front yard and wave at those who passed by.
Melvin is survived by his daughter DeAnne Cannon, son Phillip Ellis, nephew Steven, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie in 1979.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
