Obituary:
Sheila Glassman, 68, of Ukiah passed away at home on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Sheila was born in San Diego, Ca. on July 8, 1944. She had lived locally for the past 8 years. Prior to moving to Ukiah, Sheila lived and worked in Detroit, Michigan for 38 years as a School Teacher.
Sheila was an avid reader, accomplished Mahjong player and she made beautiful jewelry. She was a supporter of the Grace Hudson Museum and a museum volunteer. She was part of Ladies Who Lunch.
Sheila will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her son Anthony Glassman, siblings William & Barbara Ascher, Nancy Ascher & John Roberts, Jane & Tom Piper, nieces & nephews Diana Ascher, Julie Ascher, David and Negin Ascher, Merisa Piper & Jesse Silverstein, Jack Piper, Beckie Roberts Ascher, Johnny Ascher Roberts, great nieces & nephews Storm Ascher, Hannah Ascher and Macabee Ascher plus her dear friends, in particular Dee Dix & Diana Thomas, her Mahjong sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 3pm at the Eversole Mortuary, Rabbi Shoshanah Devorah will officiate.
A reception will follow the service at the Piper residence 3250 Reeves Canyon Rd. in Redwood Valley.
