Marty Gower
It is with great sadness that the family of Marty Gower announces his passing, on June 18, 2019, at the age of 60. Marty fought a hard battle against his cancer, but it eventually won in the end.
Born in March of 1959, Marty grew up around the ranch life. He loved to rodeo, hunt and fish and would have much rather lived the cowboy life in the old west then deal with today’s technology and traffic. Marty worked for MBC Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He loved his job because it kept him outdoors (and allowed him to scope out the local wild game). Hunting, what can we say about hunting other than Marty lived and breathed hunting wild boars. Marty hunted pretty much every weekend and throughout the week until his son Bode was born. Then life changed for Marty, his son became his world. Marty was so proud of his son. He loved to brag about him.

Marty will be remembered by his wife of 29 years, Kathi and his son, Bode. Marty will also be remembered by his brothers and sisters, Dean (Joan) Rose, Janna (Mike) Boomer, Jimmy (Nancy) Rose, Joanna (Gene) Compton, and Marsha (Mark) Robinson.
A memorial service in memory of Marty will be held on June 30th at 11AM, at Eversole Mortuary. There will be a celebration of life at St. Mary’s School auditorium following the services. Please bring your favorite side dish and share your stories of Marty with family and friends.
