Gracia Pena De Delgado

Gracia Peña De Delgado, 87, of Ukiah, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. Gracia was born March 3, 1935 in Atacheo, Michoacan to Francisco Peña and Loreto Magaña.

She was a devout Catholic and she enjoyed shopping, especially at Macy’s. She had a passion for cooking the best authentic Mexican dishes such as tamales, arroz con leche, pozole, enchiladas, chilaquiles, chile rellenos, frijoles and her famous ponche de frutas. 

She was known to have her home open to anyone in need. Most importantly, she enjoyed celebrating special occasions and holidays at her home with her entire family present, whom she adored greatly. Her family will always remember her warm hugs, beautiful smile, and her big heart. She had a way of making her grandchildren feel loved in their own way. You could never leave the house without a hug goodbye, cookies, or una fruta y un jugo. 

 Gracia is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jesus Delgado Ramirez and children Alicia Woolworth and her husband Rick; Delia Lopez; Loreto (Lori) Favila and her husband Fernando; Berta Tellez and her husband Jose; Silvia Garcia and her husband Francisco; and, Hector Delgado and his wife Gaby. As well as, thirteen amazing grandchildren and ten beautiful great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Fernando, Octavio, Elena, Alicia, and Nunila. Gracia is preceded in death by children Irma, Jessy, and Victor and her parents Francisco Peña and Loreto Magaña. She was preceded in death by her older brother Adolfo Peña.

 A viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a rosary service being held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday February 23, 2023 at Eversole Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 24^th at 11:00 a.m., St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. A burial will follow at the Ukiah Cemetery.
