Obituary:
Edward Fredrick Graumann Jr., 70, of Ukiah passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his home. Edward was born March 21, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had lived in Ukiah most of his life.
Edward graduated from Ukiah High School in 1962. He worked as a Psychiatric Technician for Mendocino Community Mental Health, Mendocino State Hospital and later as a Security Supervisor for Ukiah Valley Medical Center. Edward was proud of his Military Service, his exemplary employment history and his children.
Edward was an outdoorsman He liked fishing, hunting and baseball but above all was dedicated to his job. His family will remember his kind and gentle spirit, his dependability, his thoughtfulness, his sense of duty and loyalty to his family and co-workers. He was a rock; quiet, constant and steady. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Edward is survived by the mother of his children Barbara E. Graumann, daughters Jacqueline Graumann, Susan and husband Chad Spaller, Corine and husband Gavin Pearce and Nicole Graumann all of Redwood Valley, Ca., sisters Libby and husband Robert Ashurst, Pat Graumann and husband Randy Potts, mother Virginia Engstrom, grandchild Guinevere Pearce, nephews Robert and wife Ashley Ashurst and Jason Nunez and family. Edward was preceded in death by his father Edward F. Graumann, Sr., sister Kathryn Graumann-Jackson and brother Mark Graumann.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date; time and place will be announced.
Memorial donations in Edwards name may be made to the Ukiah Valley Medical Center or the Veterans Administration.
