A Rosary will be said for Himan Gutierrez of Redwood Valley on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 12 noon at Eversole Mortuary. Himan passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Born December 23, 1954 in Santa Ana, California, he has resided in the area for the past 23 years.
Himan enjoyed traditional Native American Ceremonies that his grandchildren were involved in. He will be remembered as a hard worker, for his love of the outdoors and his family, his devotion to his grandchildren and his unconditional love for music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Himan is survived by his wife Carla Gutierrez of Redwood Valley, daughters Consuelo Andrade, Florenda Gutierrez, Angelina Gutierrez, Gloria Connolly, sons Carlos Gutierrez, Himan Gutierrez Jr., sisters Maria Gutierrez, Connie Navarette, Gloria Gutierrez, Susie Gutierrez, Jackie Gutierrez, brothers Cruz Gutierrez, Leandro Gutierrez Jr., Steven Gutierrez, Guadalupe Gutierrez and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Leandro Sr. and Consuelo Gutierrez, by his son Leandro Gutierrez and brother Johnny Gutierrez.
