Obituary:
Hopland, CA– Edna "Ruth” Hair, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2016 while at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 16, 1936, in Oklahoma, to Charlie & Ofelia Myers and was one of eleven children. In 1953 the family moved cross-country to California where Ruth attended school in Potter Valley and then later attended Ukiah High School and graduated in 1954. During her high school years Ruth met Earl Hair, and just after three months of dating, the two were married.

Ruth and Earl moved to Hopland where they raised their family. They always enjoyed having fun together; camping, hunting, fishing, boating and just spending time with one another.

Ruth loved her home and took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, canning fruits and vegetables, old time country music and having large family get togethers. Her smile could light up a room, her laugh was truly infectious, her dance moves were like no other, and her heart was kind and pure.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl Hair; Daughter, Ruth Solverson and her husband Tom; son, Sam Hair and his wife Chris; son, John and his wife Kathy; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Earl Hair; daughter, Nancy Painter, and her brothers and several sisters. A graveside service will be held for family and close friends Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah, CA
