Melba passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 with her family by her side. Born January 8, 1924 in Talmage, she has resided in the area her entire life. She graduated from Ukiah Union High School in 1940 with lifetime CSF honor. She worked as a legal clerk, senior stenographer, administrative assistant at REPCA and as a medical transcriber. Melba worked until she was 84 as a medical transcriptionist for three local doctors. She received the CSF award and California States highest score for the senior stenographer and typist exam. She was most proud of her lifetime membership of CSF, her family-grandchildren, great grandchildren, her professional accomplishments and retiring at age 84. Her favorite quote was, Dont tell Gary!!
