Iris Lorraine Haydon (1928-2014)
Iris passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 in her home in Laytonville, CA.
Born and raised in San Francisco, at age 16, she married Henry Haydon, settled in Ukiah, Ca for many years while raising their 2 children, Terry and Jacquie. In 1978, retired to Spyrock
Iris and Henry moved to Laytonville, CA in the early 1990s when Henry's health required being closer to medical facilities.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, she fervently supported her family's interests and opened her heart and arms to many, many people. She enjoyed card games, reading, crocheting, watching game shows and late night TV.
Predeceased by her husband, Henry Everett Haydon, and eldest daughter, Terry Lee Middleton.
Survived by her youngest daughter, Jacquie Eileen Slagle, sister, Adele Hamilton, son-in-law, Richard Hewitt Middleton I, her 5 grandchildren, Robert Henry White, Richard Hewitt Middleton II, Jonathan Scott Middleton, Shalin Marie Slagle and Nicole Haydon Middleton-Rigsbee, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many family and friends.
By her own request, there will be no official memorial service, but, an informal gathering of friends and family will be announced in the near future for time and location.
Memorial donations suggested to the American Heart Association and/or American Diabetes Association.
