Heather Lindsteadt

Heather Lindsteadt passed away, surrounded by family, on May 25, 2024.  She was finally at peace after a 3-year battle with cancer.  She was born June 17, 1974.  Heather lived in Mendocino County since she was 12, coming from Northern Minnesota where the family lived for 8 years on a lake.  She loved her memories of swimming in the lake and running in the miles of BLM woods with her brothers.  She met the love of her life, Jerry, in Ukiah and they had just celebrated their 17th anniversary.  She was a lover and creator of art; her soul was happiest when she was immersed in anything involving creativity and working with her hands.   She was soothed by the blustery weather and loved fall, wind, and rain.

Heather will be remembered for her extreme love of family, her sassy hysterical attitude, her beauty, and her absolute fascination with the stars and moon.  The doctors had only given Heather up to 18 months in the initial diagnosis.  We were blessed she survived 3 years, fighting every step of the way through many surgeries and treatments.  Because that was who she was.  A woman who wanted to show her girls to never give up.

Heather is survived by her immediate family, husband Jerry, and daughters Heidi and Monica.  She would also want us to mention George, the family dog.  Parents, John and Karen; mother-in-law, Raisa; brothers Rusty (Tina), James, Buck, Jess (Latisha), Beau (Megan); Carly, Deb, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and her wonderful friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 5 pm at Club Calpella for us all to remember her and tell fun stories we have of the times we spent with her.  Most of all, she didn’t want anyone to be sad. Surprise surprise.
