Obituary:
Jonathan “Jon” Adolph Heller passed away March 28 at his home with his wife by his side. Jon was born and raised in Ukiah, graduating from Ukiah High in 1982. Jon loved being outdoors, going to the Ornbaun ranch, riding his rhino and being surrounded by his friends of which he had many. Jon was passionate about racquetball, a love he inherited from his father while growing up in Deerwood. Jon was ranked and eventually sponsored until last year when he became ill. Jon is survived by his wife Robin, children Jonathan and Joelle Heller of Fresno CA, stepchildren Nicolas and Shelbi Fross of Ukiah, mother Shirley Heller of Ukiah, Grandmother Dorcas (Betty) Willet of Ohio, in-laws Dave and Marilyn Pronsolino of Anderson Valley, brother Mark Heller of Santa Rosa, sisters Marilou Smith (Chris) of Ukiah and Julie Swan of Templeton CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jon was preceded in death by his father Don Heller. Jon felt blessed to have the friends and support he had, one of his favorite quotes was “I am rich with friends”. Donations in Jon’s name may be made to favorite charity.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eversole Mortuary. Burial will follow the service at the Ukiah Cemetery.
