Susan Toyoko Herling, 88, of Ukiah passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Ukiah Valley Medical Center with her family present. Susan was born February 5, 1926 in Aichi-ken, Japan.
Susan had lived in Ukiah for the past 16 years. In Japan she had 8 years of education and secretarial school.
She was proud of being an excellent homemaker, seamstress, gardener, gourmet cook and loving mother and friend.
Susan is survived by her husband Craig Herling of Ukiah, daughters Janet Williams and her husband Tom of Ukiah, Eva Sandler and her husband Michael of San Francisco, sons Michael Ingle of Singapore, Jimmy Ingle and his wife Connie of Tacoma, WA, sisters Tomiko Sato of Nagoya, Japan, Mikiko Sato of Nagoya, Japan, brother Hikogi Sato of Nagoya, Japan and granddaughter Jennifer Walmsley and her husband Mark of Franklin, TN.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Shinto Temple.
