Obituary:
Teresa Elizabeth Hernandez, 40-years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 31st in Ukiah, with family and friends by her side. Teresa was born on November 18, 1977 in Ukiah. Teresa grew up with her family in Willits as a child then lived in North Carolina, San Diego, Santa Rosa, and then Ukiah. Teresa graduated from Empire College with an Associate’s Degree in Business and worked at GEICO and Empire College then soon a stay-at-home mom. Teresa was married to US Marine Corps. Staff Sargent Dwight Jason Morgan until his untimely death in Afghanistan in 2002. She was engaged to Israel Mendoza who loved her unconditionally and was by her side until her passing. Teresa will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her charismatic, sweet kind and loving soul, and her unconditional love for her friends and family. Teresa leaves behind her fiancée Israel Mendoza, her four children Alex 21; Jason 15; Evangelina 7; and Maya Bella 4; stepchildren Israel Mendoza, Jr. and Isabel Mendoza. Her mother Sandi (Tim) Brennan, brother Bryan (Cherrie) Walker, sister, Angie (Marty) Bakker, brother, Sotero (Leonore) Hernandez, and brothers Uriel and Victor Hernandez; step brothers Tim (Angela) Brennan Jr., Alex Brennan, step-sister Ashley Brennan, her grandmother Lila Walker, grandfathers, John Ingram and Sotero Hernandez, Sr. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Milania Mendoza, husband Dwight Jason Morgan, father Salvador Hernandez and grandmother Guadalupe Vega-Hernandez. Viewing will be held on Friday, April 13th from 12-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 3:30 pm at Eversole Mortuary.
